Opening hours
When are the Wash&Go laundromats open?
All laundromats open Monday to Saturday at 6 am. Stuttgart-Mitte, Stuttgart-West, Stuttgart-Ost and both Karlsruhe laundromats close at 11 pm, Bad Cannstatt and Ludwigsburg at 10 pm.
Is the laundromat open on Sundays?
No. All Wash&Go laundromats are closed on Sundays and public holidays in Baden-Württemberg, as required by the state’s Sunday and public holiday law. On Saturdays you can wash until 10 or 11 pm.

Prices and payment
How much does it cost to wash at the laundromat?
A wash costs €5.00 in the 8 kg machine and €13.50 in the XXL 18 kg machine. Drying costs €1.50 per 10 minutes. All prices and a cost calculator are on the Prices page.
Can I pay by card or Apple Pay?
Yes. At the pay station you can pay with cash, any major credit or debit card, contactless by card, phone or watch with Apple Pay and Google Pay, or with the Wash&Go discount card.
How does the discount card work?
You get the card at the pay station for a €5 deposit and top up your credit. You receive up to 25 % bonus credit, and every wash costs less: 8 kg from €3.80. The card works in all 7 laundromats. More on the Discount card page.
Washing and drying
How long does a wash take at the laundromat?
A wash at Wash&Go takes about 35 minutes, drying usually 20 to 40 minutes. In total you are done in 55 to 75 minutes.
Do I have to stay at the laundromat?
No. You can leave while the machine is running. Please collect your laundry as soon as it is finished so the machine is free again.
Can I bring my own detergent?
Yes, your own detergent is welcome. At the pay station you can also buy detergent for €0.70 and fabric softener for €0.40, or from €0.50 and €0.30 with the discount card.
Can I wash duvets at the laundromat?
Yes. Every laundromat has XXL 18 kg washers that fit large duvets, and the dryers have a 20 kg drum. Tips in our guide XXL washing.
What can’t I wash at the laundromat?
Shoes and trainers (they damage the machine and the shoes), dyeing clothes in the machines (the colour stays for the next customer), work clothes soaked in oil or petrol, and rigid rugs. Flexible rugs are fine. Pet blankets are not welcome, because people with allergies wash after you.
Is there Wi-Fi at the laundromat?
Yes, the Wash&Go laundromats have free Wi-Fi.
